While a lot of people are wrapping up their year, tournament organizers already have their eyes locked on to the new decade.
The World Series of Poker announced its preliminary 2020 dates last week and PokerStars recently released a list of its live events for next year.
This is now the 51st iteration of the WSOP, making it eligible to play the seniors event if it was somehow able to manifest itself in human form.
The first announced event is the Big 50, which is also the opening bracelet event.
Last year the Big 50 was the largest event of the series with 28,371 players.
There will be four starting flights and the first day kicks off on Thursday, May 28, with the last taking place on Sunday, May 31.

The tournament will begin on Wednesday, July 1, and is scheduled to play down to a final table on July 10.
Things are kicking off early and the first tournament of the year is Red Dragon in Manila, which will span from January 4-11.
